Why do you like to speed toward red lights? What is the benefit that I am missing out on?

See you at the light in a little bit.

I slow up towards them so I dont have to stop completely, and can speed back up easier.

Louisiana Drivers

Why do you make left turns from the far right lane?

The "latino lane drop" is very popular in Houston as well.

Not letting the guy next to you speed up and get over in front of you preventing the right on red you are about to take?

Neither of you are “about to” do anything at the intersections in this city traffic. Let’s be honest.

This infuriates me like no other. When someone decides they can’t be 2nd in line at a light and need to be first. So they jump over and block the ability to turn right on red for everyone behind them.

The pathetic thing is they don’t even realize what they are doing. It’s often people that consider themselves a good driver but clueless to their surroundings

It rains on the interstate and every one of them move to the left lane and turn on their flashers.

The rationale there is that the more people that are behind you and the less people in front of you, is less of a chance some idiot will do something stupid in front of you.

Yeah . I'm totally with you. These idiots speed to a line stopped for a Red light , or way back in slow traffic. What's the fricking point? You're not going anywhere. Wear and tear on your brake pads, rotors , tires and gas.

And when you do that to my arse you're getting brake checked.

maybe they have a sense of urgency. Something 99.9999999% of Louisiana drivers lack.

Houston demographics have changed:

Back in the day, the irritant was headless drivers going too slow on I-10. Headless because you couldn't see their heads above their neck rests, and when you'd pass them, as you had to from frustration, they were always little old oriental women with stares straight ahead, never glancing at rear view mirrors.

At least drivers in Houston know what the pedal on the right is for.
