Wasn't this deemed to be an accident?

There's a longstanding rule that you're not allowed to touch the umpire. They didn't touch him. I hope there were no ejections.

Yeah they were nearly half a mile away. Guessing that’s why the charge wasn’t attempted murder cuz the coach took it in the shoulder. Worth looking into why they were having the target practice to begin with.

Sounds like it - but they still illegally discharged a firearm which hit a person.

Did the coach survive?

Target practice, on who's land? Everything in that area is a construction site or neighborhoods.

I wonder what they were practicing for.

That's what the news narrative wanted you to think. I fell for it too.

Exactly, but it's not the nefarious terrorist attack that some are making it out to be. They should still be prosecuted.

I think they were at a sheriffs shooting range.

Clearly instead of shooting at a target, they shot in the air and the bullet landed in a baseball field in the area.

Seems to be more of a criminal negligence type theory of not shooting at the target but firing in the air?

That's sad.

Article said they were shooting in a nearby pasture. Hard way to learn how far bullets travel.
