OM 32 mins
LSU 27 mins
Stop saying the defense was out there all game. It was more but not that much more.
The offense is clearly the problem but defense didn’t hold up that well either. We got pushed around.

Now look at ole miss’s typical TOP. Before this game they were getting dominated in TOP. 3 and out Nuss killed us. Can’t create anything.

Stop with the excuses man. Our S&C needs to be better if we can’t hang with OM.
We haven’t even played Bama yet. Will we even score on Bama?

Defense was winded right after Ole Miss made their first first down.
Maybe it was because of it being their first day game this year, but they looked slow and weak. Like they have never played under the sun.

Defense gave up too many 3rd downs

Offense is abysmal and we have zero solutions from lifeless BK.

Just not set up for success IMO. Not ever in the right formation or scheme.

Now do the first half
And how many plays LSUs defense was on the field.

Ole Miss was playing super-uptempo making the defense basically having to play that entire 32 minutes.
LSU on the other hand will take the play clock down under 5 most plays.
LSU’s defense was worn out by the end of the game.

So another week being plus turnovers and under TOP.
Bought at least a minute doing nothing at midfield after the pick and settling for a FG.
But sure let’s focus our attention on the defense that gave up a ghastly 24 points (the horror) & not the team that rushed for 50 yards against the worst rushing defense in the conference.

Im not a sports analyst but the offense was out there a few long drives. And halftime occurred.
It falls on the offense clearly. But the defense didn’t hold up that well.

So practice uptempo.
We knew coming into the game they played this way.
No preparation. You're telling me.

They would have been massively helped by a competent offense, but that will not be forthcoming.

It’s not just time of possession, compare the number of plays. Ole Miss ran 50 plays in the first half. LSU ran 23 plays in the first half.
Being on the field for 9 plays over a 2 minute stretch is much different than being on the field for 9 plays over a 4 minute stretch.

That doesn't tell the whole story. 50-60 plays in one half is a lot. It's like when a pitcher throws 40 pitches in an inning. That many in that short of a time frame is a lot. The long 5-8 minute drives drains you a lot more. There was no rest. Ironically we gained most of our TOP during our pathetic "hurry up" offense at the end of the game
Posted on 9/28/25 at 12:23 pm to DUKE87
But number of plays in that time was almost double so the defense was running around twice as much.
Posted on 9/28/25 at 12:28 pm to DUKE87
This was balanced off in the second half when our defense made several consecutive stops and our "hurry up" drive consumed a mind-bogglin six minutes late fourth.

Over the entire game OM ran 81 plays, lsu 55
