Only one player hitting over .300
Manny Machado at .272 is 15th in NL batting average.
Should MLB just stop awarding batting titles?

Bring back caring about batting average and RBIs and pitching wins

And that's with the lame universal DH.
SAD!
SAD!

Baseball got worse once the nerds who never played got involved

So true. Stop giving me fancy metrics. Bring back managers making their decisions from their gutt

I miss teams trying to hit singles and doubles consistently instead of worrying about exit velocity and angles, as well as starting pitchers going to the 7th consistently.

A dying league that committed suicide. Sad to see

That 10 or so year period after the strike was really the best era of baseball. You had all time elite pitchers, all time elite power hitters, all-time elite contact hitters, and all-time elite fielders all over the league.
Then the sissy arse journalists and computer homos came in and fricked it all up because “muh efficiency” like you should run anything sports or entertainment related the same way a Fortune 500 conducts business. This is why we need bullying.

It really was and I’d argue it may have even started before the strike. The thing about the nerds is offenses aren’t producing more runs and quality pitching is all but extinct. They didn’t improve the game, they cut cost for owners which is why you’re about to see another strike.

The days of being a complete player are long gone sadly.

hence why i say make pitching wins matter

I guess so, they’re facing nastier pitching than at anytime ever before
They’ve always known that velocity is good but the analytics told them how good and now they’re grooming prospects to have it

The pitching is worse, you need 5 of em just to get through a game.
