Why yesterday was the most upsetting loss in the 4 year BK era at LSU.

Why?

Because it’s his 4th year and he has a 5th year QB at the helm.

I know, I know, the cupboard was bare when he got here and he had to rebuild with only 39 players on scholarship. I’m tired of hearing about this.
It’s a completely different era and what this actually means is he has had 4 recruiting cycles and 4 years of NIL and TP to address all positions with his own players.
A rebuild like this in the days before the NIL and the TP would have taken longer yes, but he should be exactly where he needs to be by now, or we need to see the hard reality that there is very little chance we will get to the promised land with Kelly in his tenure here.

If Nuss is hurt fine, but that means BK is literally harboring an injured player to protect his draft stock and willing to allow the whole team to suffer along the way.
Not a Leader I want.

Or
Just not a good enough head coach with all the players bought and paid for to design even a respectable offense. Again all this with his 5th year Senior QB who has been in “his” system for 4 fuking years.
Not good enough.

We can continue blaming Sloan, but to believe Kelly has no say in the offense and the scheme is just silly. He always has been an offensive minded coach and now I just believe his style is outdated unless his offense is run by a generational talent like JD or an Underwood type player that have the ability to make you look like a genius.
Those players disguise his inability to out scheme or out coach most opposing coaches and that’s where we are at.

I’ve seen it and listened to him for as long as I can stand it. He makes up too many excuses, plays victim, and is a flat out dick to the press when questions arise about glaring issues that many of us would like answered.

Kelly is in no way a motivating coach nor cerebral coach, so what is he exactly?
He is a GM that has the ability to run a quality organization with seemingly good players and men, but they are flat out soft for the most part and get dominated on the offensive line of scrimmage ever since he has been here.
Baker and Kyle obviously have full control of the D so that’s much improved now, but no defense should be asked to dictate outcomes of every single fuking game.
No Championship team that ever existed had a defense play perfectly every game and had an offense that picked up the slack at least to win games when the D struggled.

It’s been this way since he has been here hence the shitty running attack that to me is just flat out emasculating to watch.

57 fuking yards we made on the ground yesterday and most of the season and in past years it hasn’t been much better.
Lots of his players rather than get better seem to regress and that’s not normal either.

He could get away with some of this in other conferences but in the dog eat dog of the SEC you just can’t.

Yesterday was the brutal reality of what 50% of us saw way before the game.

An average aging coach riding on the coattails of lots of wins over his 35 years but no significant Championships to date.

He is not the guy, never has been.

He has no killer instinct and his teams play like they don’t either.
The “we play to win the game” BS is weak and sends a message throughout the team that puts them in a position to underachieve vs place the foot on throat of your opponent mentality you have to have in the SEC to be successful.

I’m sure he will get one more year regardless unless we fully implode, but we aren’t making the playoffs unless Nuss gets healthy, don’t be silly.
And even then, I don’t think we have the dogs needed or mentality to be a Champion.

*PS, I did get out of bed today unlike some others here, but I’m still frustrated like everyone else to say the least and really ready for the BK era to be over.
Unfortunately it will be a couple more years of these outcomes and excuses.

The End

Basically it’s familiar & similar to many other losses, but we have run out of excuses for him and accepted this is just the new normal.

He and Woodward need to be fired. Don’t wait around for it to get worse after this year.

I'll summarize it in one sentence. This was an all-in effort financially and with program support and the offense is one of the worst in program history.

It is easier for me…..
Guy makes 10 million a years
Players make more in one year in college than many Americans will throughout their life..

Nil.. pay to play. Ridiculously paid coaches … I have very little tolerance for garbage results anymore..

I’m to the point of believing that knee of Nuss and the Patellar Tendinitis is what the main issue is still with Nuss and his accuracy problems.
The suggestion a couple weeks ago of it being an abdominal issue was to suggest there is a Health issue without pinpointing the actual problem for opposing teams.

No other excuse for the inability to scrabble and or evade 3 man fronts, plus add in all inconsistent off target throws and all the back foot release throws as well.

We have an injured QB no doubt in my mind but Kelly is in charge and not man enough to make a change and willing to go down with the ship.

He should be thinking to protect Nuss’ draft stock by sitting him until he is healthy, rather than exposing many questions that will ultimately tank his position in a much deeper QB draft than last year.

Not what he is getting 10M a year for.

Bravo! Totally agree! BK is not the answer. He’ll prove it 2 weeks from now when he keeps Nuss on the field. But this is all he’s ever been. Never won a natty with talent at ND nor will he at LSU.
