Des Monies superintendent arrested by ICE

How did he even get to become superintendent.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Today, ICE Des Moines arrested Ian Andre Roberts, a criminal illegal alien from Guyana in possession of a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash and a fixed blade hunting knife. At the time of his arrest, Roberts was working as the Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools despite being an illegal alien with a final order of removal and no work authorization.
During a targeted enforcement operation on Sept. 26, 2025, officers approached Roberts in his vehicle after identifying himself, but he sped away. Officers later discovered his vehicle abandoned near a wooded area. State Patrol assisted in locating the subject and he was taken into ICE custody.
Roberts has existing weapon possession charges from February 5, 2020. Roberts entered the United States in 1999 on a student visa and was given a final order of removal by an immigration judge in May of 2024.
The investigation into how Roberts acquired the handgun is being turned over to the ATF. It is a violation of federal law for those in the U.S. without legal status to possess a firearm and ammunition.

If a straight up illegal with a diploma mill doctorate can become superintendent of the largest school district in Iowa, then you won’t convince me that there aren’t millions on our voter rolls.

The PLAN. To so ingrain illegals into the system that pulling them out becomes all but impossible. Like weeds in a garden. Their roots become so wrapped around and ingrained, it takes a supreme effort to eradicate them and not harm the plants which are supposed to be here.
That's how. This was done on purpose.
And too many folks won't understand this, will think it so incredible as to not believe it, even when they see it with their own eyes.

Jackie Norris, of Des Moines, a member of the Des Moines school board and former chief of staff to Michelle Obama, announced her candidacy for the United States Senate on the demorat side to replace retiring Joni Ernst on August 5, 2025.
She was on the board when the illegal alien was hired as a superintendent in a secret vote.
How can people even consider someone with such poor judgment and integrity?
This alone should be disqualifying.

Guy “worked his way up” in just about every lefty cesspool, enabled no doubt by white lefty women. He worked, NYC, Baltimore, St. Louis, Oakland, etc. before getting promoted in Iowa of all places.

During the years that Roberts supposedly was earning numerous graduate degrees, he also claims to have been continuously employed, as a teacher for a few years, then as a school administrator for almost two decades. His LinkedIn indicates that he was moonlighting as an “Executive Leadership Coach/Chief Thought Partner” for a private company since 2020, while he was a superintendent for two difference school districts. (I am not going to bother to share all the bios that inflate his job titles to the point of lying.)

He came to America on track and field scholarship. He competed for Guyana in the 2000 Sydney Olympic games.
He was here legally up until 2020 when he got a weapons charge that precluded him from renewing his visa.
He was given a deportation order last year in 2024.
I don't know how a committee that did a nation wide search in 2023 didn't find his weapons charge or that his visa was no longer valid.
Huge failure and embarrassment on their part.
