What did yall call it when you played kickball growing up?

...The redneckier kids and black kids said "back catcher." But this was 30-something years ago in south Georgia, and "back catcher" is probably now a relic of the old south.

This seems like something you should ask reddit.

During Biden’s tenure it was changed to “tax the capitalist” but thankfully sense has returned to America and it has returned to its true name.

As opposed to "front-catcher"?

No. You made this crap up.

Kickball (not Kickpin) clearly mimicked baseball directly with the names for the positions.

And since no one in the history (wel, the last 80 years or so apparently) of baseball has been called a "back-catcher", it wouldn't happen in Kickball either.

Maybe you misheard "black catcher."

Did you have a "front pitcher" as well?

Bottom kicker?

Inner outfielder?

Where does the madness end?

There are some serious basic cornball replies in these comments.. Good lord, if you're making an attempt at middle school humor, at least put a little effort into it and don't be lazy smh.

Forgot all about that one, good call. Probably hadn't thought about "hind catcher" in over 30 years lol.

Black folks around here still call catcher in baseball back catcher. I don’t even bat an eye when I hear it.

I know guys that called catcher back catcher. Mostly old guys like my great uncle. He’s in his 80s and if we’re talking baseball he always refers to the catcher as back catcher
