Special Election in Metro Atlanta - 9/23/2025 - Demons Lose

Brandon Beach resigned his GA State Senate Dist 21 (NW Atlanta suburb) seat to become treasurer of the US (Trump nominated him 2/2025 - not Treasury Secretary but treasurer).
Triggered an open primary. Demons worked hard to get out the vote in primary and the demon candidate was the top vote getter in primary with republican in second.
The demons were wetting themselves thinking the could pick up this seat. Runoff special election was yesterday. 61% Republican - 39% demon.

While it is a red district, special elections in a very off year can cause problems especially with demons spending money and effort to get out their vote.
Repubs saw what was happening and pushed back.

Republican lost 6 points compared to Trump in 2024.
Trump off the ballot is a problem for Republicans.

Demons spent a ton of money and effort on this off year special election to try to meet your narrative.
Mid terms 2026 in GA will be interesting, but I think the demons keep kicking themselves with all the stupid 80/20 takes. If they keep doubling down on stupid, Ossoff should be toast.

Was this race in Buckhead or another part of the city?
Because that matters.

This is a far NW Atlanta suburb senate district located mostly in Cherokee county and the far NW corner of Fulton county. The main cities and towns are Canton and Ball Ground in Cherokee county and Milton in Fulton county.
This is blood red country.
But Demons are highly motivated to turn out while typically the party in power has little motivation in special elections, especially the year after a presidential election.
So an expected result but one with good metrics behind it.

It's going to take some monumental bullshite for Democrats to "flip" anything for awhile. They'll win the heavy blue areas like always but they are going to struggle MIGHTEDLY in any area with just a little political diversity.
They lack leadership.
They lack a message.
They have lost their collective souls.

We all need to turn into scott Pressler. i live in Tennessee, the 7th (federal)Congressional District which is holding a special election to replace Mark Green. it will almost certainly go Republican, but I have worked getting Republicans registered and will work to get them to vote in the general.
All of us need to do that at a minimum. Friends, family, church members, etc. - register and vote. The Demons will be voting, they are motivated.

That is just not true. They flipped the Iowa race. They look like they will flip the Virginia governor's race.
Complacency is the enemy of Republicans.
