Gayle Benson, 77, is a devout Catholic who regularly serves as a lector at St. Louis Cathedral, the historic church on the French Quarter's Jackson Square. It was here in 2004 that she caught the eye of Tom Benson, owner of the NFL's Saints. The monsignor mentioned to Gayle Marie LaJaunie that the widower wanted to take her to a VooDoo game, the local Arena Football League team Tom Benson also owned at the time.
"I don't do football," was her reply.

Do you think she has any real idea that she is disliked and blamed for letting the Saints get to this point? I get the impression she probably surrounds herself with sycophants who insulate her from the realities of her infamy.

She’s that typical yat socialite who asks about everyone’s family and name drops a bunch of shite. Will comment on the most superficial level about everything but has zero football knowledge past the usual pleasantries, photo ops, etc. Otherwise she’s a very nice lady.

I’m sure she is a very nice lady….
But she inherited an NFL Team and in no uncertain manner or fashion….

Gee, I wonder how? Could it be that thing that’s still undefeated? She did what most women like her do to get money, they marry into it.
