For anyone suggesting Van Buren should start just stop it.

He no doubt is talented and brings a running threat but this is Nuss’ team this year and he sure looked healthier this week than the first 2 games. Maybe they make a couple packages for him but I’m not a big fan of changing QBs in the same game. Definitely made me feel better about next year knowing he has the ability to start for LSU but I also expect a high school recruit and a transfer at QB next year when we lose Nuss and its always possible Colin Hurley could leave as well since he’s blocked by Van Buren.

I don't think anybody is saying he should start. I think people are just happy we have a competent backup for Nuss. Especially people that are also Saints fans... lol

It will never stop the so-called fans in here on this forum to start up controversy. They love doing it. It’s been going on for 20 years in here with the backup quarterback. We’ve all seen the same song and dance for years.

What people should be taking away from the game is if anything happens to Nuss we have a guy that can come in bring a different dynamic to the offense with his athleticism.
Most teams are fricked if they have to turn to their backup (imagine sticking with Swann last year). I don't think we have that problem now and it's a good feeling.

Yea it's unsurprising, but absurd. Obviously Hurley or Picarella should start next week.
