I've come to a few cynically humorous observations surrounding recent events in Utah, and I am turning to the Voice of Reason that is the O-T to ask when it might be appropriate to share without being subjected to online stalking by some self-righteous TD hacker, or getting cancelled / fired / invited to Sonic, etc.

I can't afford to lose my late night gig, man.

What say the O-T...??

It’s never “late” enough to mock the wrongful death of an innocent figure.

Even 24 years later, 9/11 jokes are still taboo.

Going to totally depend on what side the joke is about.

Go for it.

Too soon? I suspect significant % of OT found time to jerk off between collapse of WTC tower 1 and 2 on 9/11/01.

Considering the O-T to be a "Voice of Reason" is the height of cynicism.

I suppose I'll hold off for now.

I'm sure someone more creative than me could come up with some jokes about the overall saga that I would chuckle at even now

But I can't imagine one specifically about the assassination (the act itself, his death) being funny.

But you can try. You might get cancelled, no promises.

If you have to be told not to make jokes about an innocent person being murdered in cold blood you got bigger problems that can be fixed here.

You're dealing with people who are currently being brainwashed into thinking that this event is a literal line in the sand and a war cry.

You're not going to get good answers.

That said, wayyyyy too soon. It's in bad taste. Man was killed in front of his wife and children. I don't see how anyone could find the situation anything other than disgusting.

What's the difference between 9/11 and a cow? You can't milk a cow for 24 years.

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." In other words, know your audience. A political / religious crossover makes for a treacherous battleground.
