pretty substantial discounts on their site, and I need a blender. Preferably largest pitcher I can get with just knobs and/or switches

which one should I get?

I’ve had an ascent for about 7 years now and have no complaints

We bought ours off of QVC over 10 years ago. It has been worth every penny.

Best blender ever made. I have a 5200 that's gotta be pushing 20 years old. One of my favorite kitchen toys. The blades are still sharp and the container looks pretty good, no idea how this is even possible.
I did not know they make a food processor bundle. I will investigate.
edit: Nope, not compatible with my old base, which will probably outlive me.

5200 bundle is what I got. The bundle with the add ons was cheaper than the standalone blender.

I had one like this... That sucker was like a tank.. Lost it in Katrina. Except there was a valved spout on the canister...

We bought ours at Costco a few years ago when they went on sale from $399 to $299 and its been great. I'd take a look there before buying them directly from Vitamix.
Either way they're terrific, you just may save some money.

first smoothie done, this blender is so nice.
mango, apple, banana, lemon, coconut yogurt, mint, radish tops, lemon balm and water. Amazing

Great for blended soups as well. I got one of the low profile jugs for mine. They're expensive but you'll never need another blender. They're commercial grade quality.

I've found a design flaw in these. The control boards burn up if you run them too long.
For most this isn't an issue. But i have some units that just burn up. To the point that i have 12 Vitamix control boards in stock. Good machines but just seems like they need a fuse or something that burns up first.
Great machines. The motors run forever. I'm just bummed there isn't a better repair.i still recommend the brand. If anyone here has one fail get my attention and I'll walk you through the repair. Only 4 screws to open. Then it all plugs together.

I’ve got a WantJoin from Amazon and that thing is a hoss. Love it. Comes with the hood too to damper sound. Half the cost of Vita.
