If you look at the difference in his throwing motion between week 1 and week 3, it's pretty clear something is off.

CBK is realizes this is a championship level defense, but needs to decide how much he's willing to put up with this offense before making in season radical changes. this could cost him one last chances he has left at a title.
the injury excuse is useful because it won't completely crush Nuss's draft stock, as opposed to how horrible it would like to bench because he possibly just cant get it done

I took it as BK trying to soften the media (including national) on Nuss because the offense is a work in progress and does not look good. It is not all Nuss but some of it is.
Nuss does not have anything to do with OL blocking problems or RBs running up the wrong hole.
