Testosterone came in at 707
Free Test was 27.5
I am 45 years old and wanted some feedback on these numbers.

I am currently on 100mg of testosterone per week.

Also my RBC and Hematocrit was slightly elevated. Physician recommended donating blood regularly. Anyone else have these issues as well?

I’ve had to donate blood cause red blood cells too high or something like that due to testosterone.

so question is how do you feel?

your total number is fine for age, similar to where I am and that is in the high normal range for our age. would like to see you get on boron @12mg in the morning and possibly get the free test as high as possible.

as far as donating blood, always good to do as often as possible but understand that there are millions of men in denver not on trt walking around with same elevated RBC and Hematocrit levels and they arent having heart attacks/strokes or giving blood because of it

i would give blood though as it does help and is a good thing overall.

Similar to what 777 said, just do this anyways regardless. I am O+, so if I go longer than 8 weeks they are harrassing me left and right to come back.

More fluids will help your blood thickness

Is this normal when getting testosterone? I am currently waiting for my results to come back.

I did yearly bloodwork this past spring and everything came back normal except something called Ferritin. Short story is that its high iron levels. It was 5 times the normal range and their fix was me giving blood. Each time I gave blood my level was almost cut in half. Doctor said not to change anything and its just something I may have to due once or twice per year.

Appreciate all the feedback. Feel pretty good. Not going to change anything except to donate blood every so often.

Same here. I’ll add that I donate through LifeSouth here in Alabama. Mfers send me a text every time my blood goes to the hospital. Reads something like, “Congrats Aubie! Your donation is on the way to the hospital to save someone’s life!” Cry like a little girl every time.

Ah, that may explain why my iron saturation is always so high.

ok guess you couldnt understand i was talking in generalities. But if you want to be exact its 1.5 million men in colorado alone. Higher elevations causes higher RBC and hematocrit levels and yes there are over a million men in the rocky mountains alone that have high hematocrit levels just from living at elevation

yes i was exaggerating but i was making a point. Most men in those elevations have higher end hematocrit levels

I’ll be making my first donation soon I’m sure.

I’ve been on TRT for 17-18 months

Mine was 865 this week on my annual blood test. I was shocked. I’m 45 and don’t do anything in particular to keep the t high.

Past years was more in the 650 range.

I’ll be 73 in less than 2 weeks. T fluctuates between 400-490. I have enough energy so I’m happy as is but have mentioned TRT to my doc. He’d be fine with it he said. He also said the juice may not be worth the squeeze meaning heart issues or heart palpitations could pop up.

Jury is out in my brain for now and I’m reading a bit more about TRT.
