“So much of it comes down to just how we operate and how things work and the headsets – I would suggest it for anyone else that has to pay coaches and GMs millions and millions of dollars,” Irsay-Gordon said on the Colts’ website. “It helps you make a less expensive mistake potentially.”
Brilliant answer to why she was down there ! Now I don’t Gayle to go down there . She probably could write an entire book. My question is has anyone ever seen Loomis do this?

Well I heard years ago Loomis has everything wired including his chair.

Like I said Sunday on the More Sports board, she's looking for moose and squirrel...

Have seen comments that she has been doing similar things for years, since she's been the team's representative in owner's meetings when her dad's legal & substance abuse problems started hitting the front page.
Why should he? Dennis Laushcha would be the equivalent to her with the team.
Loomis does not make a lot of the decisions this board thinks he makes without Dennis and/or Gayle signing off on it.

If the Colts were 0-2, this type of behaviour would rightfully be ridiculed. Gayle is the perfect owner in the sense that she is hands off and lets the football guys manage the team. She is the worst owner in that she is extremely loyal and knows nothing about football.

Didn’t Sean Payton get annoyed that Rita used to do this? Eventually she got completely cut out.

She is clueless and looks completely out of her element on the sidelines. Stay in the owners suite and allow the football people you hired, to do their job.
The Colts situation is just as bad as the Saints, but they have a competent GM.

Her element is she owns the team. If she wants to learn more about what she owns and how it works good for her or anyone.
Results is what will count.

The same GM that drafted Anthony Richardson 4th overall after watching (or not watching) his college tape? That same draft they picked JuJu Brents in the 2nd, who was waived 2 years later. There aren't many guys he's drafted in the last 5 years that are doing anything in the league. Not saying Mickey knows what he's doing but Ballard isn't as competent as you think.
Your first statement is spot on though, no reason for owners to be on the sidelines other than pre and post game.

Firstly, this X account is a hack. Honestly, you should never refer to this account in any official capacity. Powerful? There is no way in hell she "offers the coaches advice."

Chick with hyphenated name is a control freak. Surprises no one who knows women with hyphenated names.

Lol. Any gm that took Anthony Richardson that high is not competent. I said in the threads that year any gm that took him that high would get fired not long after.
Danny Dimes is just bailing him out right now. He better hope he can keep it up.

Owner has a vagina. She gets involved oh my God she’s out of her element. Another owner that has a vagina. She’s not involved. Oh my God she knows nothing about football. Oh my God she’s too loyal. Oh my gosh she’s not loyal enough. Oh my God she still has a vagina oh my God, the vaginas can’t do nothing right

People give shite to Jerry about this exact behavior. Hell, id argue its worse.
I saw the last game where they tried to settle for a 60 yard fg to win the game with no real effort to get closer. Got bailed out by a Denver penalty.
It will ultimately catch up to them. But people shite on you if you.

She’s doing what she needs to do. She currently owns a dismal product and is taking steps to rectify. I would hope she allows the coaches to earn some more independence through competence and execution, but their results this last decade have not put them in a position to tell the owner “just trust me!”
