There was a time when the consensus among the technology bros, in the early days of the internet, was that the coming generations would have it so much better because they had the internet. Being able to find nearly any information at the touch of a button would change the future...and it did.

The problem is, because of propaganda and intentional information suppression, it takes a ton of time and effort to find the real answer on the internet. In fact, there is a corner of the internet who thinks the Earth is flat. And you can find intriguing info that supports this narrative.

You can't even believe photo or video evidence anymore because of AI.

I have no idea what the solution is, but the flood of disinformation in today's internet makes it nearly unusable.

AI is going to make this much different from how it is today.

That's why they're scared of it not having bias.

AI is as biased as whoever is using it. Don’t be fooled.

Indeed. Everyone is looking to capitalize on rage. They sell it daily, and there are buyers from all sides.

The issue is that too many people refuse to question what they are fed. They take things at face value, and form opinions on complex issues via soundbites and posts with character limits.

Critical thinking and identifying biasness need to be taught at the earliest grades now.

Because of the convenience of having the internet in our pockets all day, we've outsourced our thinking, learning, memorization, etc... to the internet. We're probably dumber, shallower and less empathetic because our brains are mostly off.

I question anything that I have not seen happen in front of me.

Lincoln tried to tell us 90% of Internet quotes were misattributed.

And people actually think it is going to get better with AI. We already have morons, totally void of critical thinking skills and incapable of rational thought, asking fricking Grok about breaking news stories of all things.

Have no fear, the Department of Truth will save you. Your government would never lie to you or let you see harmful material. We were headed there under Biden.

It’s eminently usable.
You just have to be not naive.
