They need to change the requirements for a delay in college and the NFL because there is no reason there should be a half dozen delays or more each week

Does anyone remember when this started? I don’t remember any incident of a fan or player getting injured.

Whoever came up with that lightning delay idea needs a kick in the dick.

I was just thinking this. Way more games are being delayed now. Not like thunderstorms in September are a new thing.

An abundance of caution or something

Probably when lightning hit Lee Corso's car at a Va Tech game.

I don’t. That’s why I said I’ve always wondered about it.

You’re example 1 for sure.

Climate change? You must have been indoctrinated in a public school.

Believe the science? What science? What consensus?

Oh, aren’t you due for your 8th booster?

I remember back before they did lightning delays, every week stadiums were full of charred bodies as lightning bolts struck the fans in the stands.

Oh wait, I can't remember that ever fricking happening once.

I saw a statistician once do an analysis and showed you were more likely to get spectators injured forcing a mandatory evacuation of the stadium than by lightning.

All the weather delay crap has nothing to do with actual safety and everything to do lawyers.
