They also used to have dudes on defense. They’re not completely lacking talent but gone are the days when they were loaded with future NFL dudes in the front seven.
It’s a bunch of things. Venebles is a part of it but it’s defensive talent and QB also. Dabo’s had some good fortune to help him along over the past decade.

I believe Clemson has been hurt the most by NIL and the portal. That Newspring Church money doesn't go as far as it used to.

I’m fairly certain before the LSU game they were projected to have 3 first rounders in their front 7.

I'm an Alabama man... "competing" is winning a championship, not showing up and getting your doors blown off.
Before NIL and transform portal gave you B1G underperformers an advantage you routinely got your assess kicked by random SEC team of the year.
