Of course they're going to say that...

Yep. I was told on multiple occasions since yesterday they would for sure catch him. We’ll see.

They have the cat on video; it’s gonna be solved, but I share in everyone’s frustration

Yeah it’s possible they are playing dumb on purpose I guess. Frustrating as hell. I do have faith he will get caught though.

I'm worried too. I do think chances are good he'll be caught within the next 48 hours...
But man, if not. If his killer never gets caught... Punch in the gut...

If you flop a straight flush, you slow play.
If authorities truly said this publicly, then, they’re closing in

Well if it's a conspiracy it is..
that means there's more than one that they're trying to track down and secure so they would not admit to knowing a name They would be very vague about what they knew because there's more than one and they're not in the same place

Sounds more like the FBI is telling the Utah DPS to buzz off on this one

I was thinking common sense?
You want them to tell the suspect that they've narrowed down his location to a zipcode and give him a heads up (assuming they might have)?
You keep your cards to your chest in this situation until he's in cuffs.

I'm glad someone gets it. They have to build as big of a pile of evidence as they can. Rushing that, is never a good idea.

Seems more like a blunder on the FBI’s behalf. If they’re in control of the investigation, they should be the only ones speaking to the media.

If his killer never gets caught
And if he somehow escapes to an extradition-less country, Trump will kill him. It’s not even a question

yes, a better strategy would be to tell the loud mouthed media, "we're hot on his trail, here's all the evidence we have, please go out and tell everyone."

If they were closing in on this guy, they wouldn't be postponing press conferences and putting out photos and videos in drips and drabs to the public. They don't know who he is.
But someone does. A parent, or a sibling, or a best friend -- someone has seen the photos. But they are protecting him and harboring him because they are also likely a part of this satanic wing of the Democrat party.

You're crazy dude, it's protocol to release the photos and videos of the shooter begging the public for help when you 100% know who the shooter is (according to many posters here).
I still think they're going to catch this guy but they are clearly struggling at the moment. I realize they're facing a lot of pressure and they can't take their time with this one.

If it was a few weeks and saying this stuff I get it. It’s been a day. People act like this was the capitol on Jan 6 with cameras and people aware. This is sparse Utah with nowhere near the cameras of DC or a large city. Even the kid was aware of cameras because he was turning away from them. He’s not a professional but not completely incompetent like crooks who shot Trump in butter.
