I’m not a security expert by any means, but I can tell you if I had a security team you bet your arse I’d have every fricking roof crossed and dotted. Like how does this happen. EVERY ROOF gets security if it has a vantage point to the target up to a mile in every god damn direction.

How big do you think his security detail is, exactly?

Catchfalaya thinks that Charlie Kirk had a 150+ person security detail like the Chicago Mayor has

This was a run of the mill college event for Charlie.

How much do you think that kind of protection costs?

It doesn’t matter every roof gets someone on it. Even if it’s a local bouncer at a bar. Period. You find a way.

1 guy on a rooftop would have probably been enough

We can tell.

Exactly the way it did.

He's a political activist, not the president. He had a handful of bodyguards. A real security details is hundreds of people, drones, undercover people, days of prep, and entry and exit screening. Counter sniper teams. Cameras everywhere.

This was a normal guy debating college kids. He didnt have all that, and its unfair to expect his meager security team to have been able to deal with this effectively.

Cost should be a non factor.

So you don't believe Charlie Kirk who was worth 150-200 million dollars has the means to have a security detail that covers a roof directly in front of him 200 yards away?

He's not the president and he's not the pope. Cost absolutely matters, and no university is going to allow the kind of disruption there is for a real security detail for an open air political debate with a semi famous podcaster.

You're emotional and delusional. The reality is that a true watertite security detail at an open air event is not possible. A lone nut job is virtually impossible to defense in a public space. Guns, drones, cars, bombs, swords have all been used to assassinate prominent figures.

Somebody got a shot off at Donald Trump not long ago if you'll recall.

These idiots don't even realize they're criticizing Charlie Kirk, ultimately, for not agreeing with their hindsight bias regarding security.

I hope they feel like shite for acting like such extreme assholes.

You are the one claiming someone worth 150-200 million doesn't have the means for a security detail that covers a roof directly in front of him 200 yards away

For a talking event at a college? I’m surprised he had more than a single bodyguard. That is a very low risk environment.
