I think it is pathetic that it comes down to a depth chart issue if that really is the case. The only promise that should be made to recruits is that you have a chance to compete but only the best players see the field. My opinion of Randle has just dropped precariously. If he doesn’t have the confidence in his ability, then maybe LSU isn’t the right place for him.

I could disagree with a part of your post, but I'm frightened of being called a moonbat.

It seems like Randle may want to come to LSU but his dad just is against it. In the interview he was saying how he was upset at LSU, but still made sure to say that LSU was still in it.

What about that last line:

"Regardless of when or where he signs, what ultimately matters is that Rueben goes where he will be happy."

Say what you want about the local beat writers, but they would never write this hallmark card crap.

Everybody just needs to chill. Its not that big of a deal. If the Benton decision was weighing that much on his decision, then the kid obviously doesnt have the swagger and ability we all thought he did. If he's leaving because of another's commitment, we're getting the better of the two.

i think it points more to giving Miles a chance to talk to him about whatever he is crying about regarding Benton

that or his dad wants him elsewhere, and he wants LSU, and ultimately he will win out

Maybe I'm wrong, but it's obvious to me that Randle wants to come to LSU and is being "held back" by SOMEONE (pretty obvious that it's his father) in his family.

If he's scared of Benton, surely he must be afraid of Jones at bama. If that's the case he's OU bound! I can move on no matter which way he goes.

Nice to have him but we've got some good receivers and we'll survive just fine.

i agree, if randle can't handle the comp. which will make him better in the end then screw it we are getting the better person in benton..clearly the randles think benton is a bad arse....

Yeah, it just bothers me that he's crying about anything at all regarding Benton. I mean I know you want to do whats best for yourself when it comes to playing time and all that, but if you're the number one wide receiver in the country and you dont have the confidence in yourself to believe you can compete with anyone, then somethings wrong and you may not have the mental toughness to play here.

His dad says it's a depth chart issue -

I can guarantee you one thing, RR is also going to have to compete at OU or at Bama for the 2, 3 or 4 slot. Both of those programs have been doing too much recruiting over the past 4 years to not have a number 2 or 3 receiver that is better than RR (not talking talent but the system knowledge, SEC or Big 12 exp. etc) at the start of fall practice.

I don't mind the kid going outside of the state, however saying LSU misled them is sad especially considering they are natives of LA.

I also find it peculiar that all through his recruitment we heard nothing but silence. It was like he went out of his way to keep the process as close to the vest as possible. Then all of a sudden just a day before signing day, this shite comes out publicly! Sounds like he isn’t planning on going to LSU.

Maybe I'm thinking of someone else but I thought RR said he was looking foward to possibly playing with Benton.
