Cracker Barrel is shelving plans to remodel its restaurants as it continues to backtrack on overhauling its brand image.
The move comes after the chain already reverted to its old logo in response to an uproar around a refreshed brand symbol that caused the company's stock to lose as much as $200 million in market value.
"Your Old Country Store is Here to Stay," the company said in a statement on its website Tuesday, adding that it would no longer seek to modernize the restaurant's interiors.
"Today, we're suspending our remodels. If your restaurant hasn't been remodeled, you don't need to worry, it won't be," Cracker Barrel said. The decision to halt remodeling plans was based on opinions customers shared "not just on our logo, but also on our restaurants," it added.
Cracker Barrel conceded in its statement that its planned store redesign did "not reflect what you love about Cracker Barrel."
To date, the Southern-themed restaurant chain has remodeled just four of its 660 store locations. It is suspending plans to remodel any additional stores.

Great news. Now fix the food and service quality that's gone in the shitter the last 5-7 years.

But we were emphatically, condescendingly, and brazenly told by the CEO that the response to rebranding was overwhelmingly positive. I am very concerned by all the franchise owners that were anxiously waiting on a remodel.

Spend the $$$ on improving food quality and service.

Get rid of the retaliatory woke employees and upper level management and food quality and service will improve.

Went to the Cracker Barrel off Airline this weekend. Food was good, but they were out of mashed potatoes.
I noticed they had lightened the paint a bit, and changed some of their antiques (removed a lot to make it look less cluttered). Service was good (the gal was very friendly) but I noticed management allowing employees to congregate at a table near the kitchen where they would play around on their phones.
Waitstaff, if they aren't bussing/cleaning a table or taking/bringing out an order should be stationed somewhere in the room where someone at each their tables (or as many as possible) can get their attention by making eye contact, slight head nod, etc.
Hosts/Hostesses should be at the hosting station unless they are seating people. If they are bored, there's always something to be swept, dusted, etc.

Would you also give them 2 minute toilet breaks? And all the day old bread they can eat?

Yeah, I never got the "Let's change the look" movement instead of "Let's improve the quality of the shite food" movement.

Its too late for all that, they've already revealed the company's true values.

Get rid of the rainbow stuff and DEI as well

As long as they are getting someone to cover their spot while they are doing their business and they aren't abusing it by running off to the bathroom every 10 of minutes, sure.

Absolutely. Ice Cube told us we can still get swole up on just bread and water.

You're right about that. We often get breakfast at CB, but a few weeks ago we stopped for a quick breakfast, and nobody gave us coffee or waited on us. We finally left and got a McD buscuit and egg (and good coffee!)

Somewhere a contractor is returning his new side by side and fishing boat.

They came out and said "customers, we listened to you and we will not be changing our stores". Just waiting for them to come out and say "customers, we heard you want better service and food and we heard you". . . Reckon I may be waiting awhile.
Also did they shitcan the dumb broad or no?

Well you can take your fake concern elsewhere because Cracker Barrel does not franchise. They are all corporate owned.

Free press and no upfit costs?
Brilliant.
Brilliant.

Cracker Barrel learned in 1 week what BudLight took almost a year to understand.
So there’s that. But there’s still the matter of the woke Karen leading the company.

That's what they needed to do from the start.
The remodel itself wasn't the worst idea, but when they piled all the rest of the shite on top of it......what did they expect?
Anyway, after all of this nonsense the food will still be bad and the service will still be shitty.
