ACB on Special Report .....

Not sure how many here watched the ACB interview by Bret Baier on Special Report, but it was outstanding.
She's promoting her new book, "Listening to the Law," which I just ordered before coming here to post.
I don't agree with some of her decisions, some of them I vehemently disagree with, but she's a very classy Louisiana Catholic Lady and I respect her for what she's achieved and what she represents.
She's on the right side of things more often than not. We're never going to win 100% of the time.
It's difficult to harbor any feelings that she is insidiously villainous or deceptive, imho. She is who she is .... a former Scalia clerk who tries to reach decisions from her own Constitutional perspective based upon her own interpretations.
And she's female.

Here's some of it for those that might be interested.

When it comes to SCOTUS, that don't move the needle for me. IMO, we have 3 too many women on the Court now as it is. I wouldve said 4 but KBJ doesnt even know what a woman is, so I really can't count her.

Is this one of those books that “sells” shite tons of copies, is on the bestseller, and no one knows anyone that actually bought it or read it?

Bingo.

I thankful she was confirmed by the Senate before Biden was installed as president.

I don't completely trust her. Among other things, why was she giving the evil side-eye to President Trump at the de facto SOTU Address this year? All he did was give her the biggest opportunity of her life.
I noticed that the OP saw fit to mention that she is Catholic. I'm hoping that President Trump will take the opportunity, given any vacancies, to nominate some people of the Protestant faith. At present the SC is overloaded with Jews, Catholics, and Atheists.

Congratulations on being the one person who’ll actually buy it.

Why not. The left gets 100% from their politicians and judges. Its only us on the right that have to deal with 50-85%

Such an insufferable douche .... get a life.

Because she goes to great length to speak about how her religious beliefs do, and do not, affect her decisions .... especially on Right to Life cases.

I'm 110% in agreement with you on that .... 200% even. It's past time.

One of Trump’s biggest mistakes.

As long as the publisher’s check to the author clears, the sales figures don’t really matter. The “advance” pay is more important than the sales. Political figures should be banned from writing books for 15 years after getting out of office.

I’d be fine with 100% Catholic Men. MAGA

That is the real problem. She doesn’t divorce herself from emotions and her rulings show it.

It's one of those books that you shouldn't worry about because it's obviously doubtful that you've ever read a book as an adult.
As you grow older, and hopefully wiser and less smarmy and hubristic .... perhaps you'll leave your mother's basement and read a book or two rather than gleaning all of your limited info from this board and various other dull and dingey corners of the Internet.
Here's the complete interview, for those interested.
