Dixon McMakin was awesome on PA Saturday

We definitely found our man, Dixon ATE on Saturday! I know this will upset the haters, but the name Dixon McMakin will go down in history right next to Sid Crocker and Dan Bourne as one of the all-time legends. Keep up the great work, Dixon! KALLICKHAAAAAGH!!!

I didn't care about that at all. I kept waiting for the fricking sun to find its home in the western sky and it never happened. I blame McMakin for the dead crowd because of that.
That little phrase that Borne always said should be a Tiger Stadium night game staple, regardless of who the voice of the stadium is. It has to be a requirement.

1) he can be decent at calling the PA; and

Definitely need something to acknowledge the day to night shift. If he doesn't want to ape Borne, then they could even play audio of Borne's line at that moment (cut off the lights for that moment too so it's as dark as possible).
Otherwise, though, I thought he did just fine. Pretty unnoticeable and good excitement levels.

He’s a lot and there are a lot of people on this board that don’t care for how he got places in life nor his name alone.
I thought he did a good job Saturday. His voice was a little more energetic being 30+ years older than Borne. His annunciations and cadences probably need some fine tuning.

And Borne only said that if it was an afternoon game that got dark late. Y’all will bitch about anything.

The rant thinks there is a college major in PA and that schools do national searches for their stadium's PA announcer, who ultimately has to survive a rigorous audition to get the job. All, obvious to the fact that Borne got the job because of his "connections". Political and otherwise.
McMakin was fine. You could understand what he said. He gave adequate information. He didn't try to be obnoxious. And the "peenilized" and MACKdonalds pronunciations were an homage to Borne.
Did it sound strange not hearing Borne's voice? Of course. But that would have been the case regardless of who got the job. It's no different than Borne's voice sounding strange when he got the job in the mid-80's.
