Muslims became the majority because the Christians had the money to emigrate during the civil war.

Tell me about it. I was an exchange student with 5 Christian Lebanese guys in the 70s. Spent 3 months over there. We're still friends to this day. They all live here now ... well, two of the brothers are up in Lebanon, Tennessee. The other three are still in and around Columbia.
They hate muslims with a passion .... lost their Dad to the PLO.

Probably not criminal. Store owner could have him barred from his property but I’m sure in his mind that would cause more problems than just briefly entertaining the thug.
