What is funny about the awards is that even MTV won’t broadcast them, instead it is on CBS.

A very flamboyant and gender bending decade in music.
But... nobody claimed wrong pronouns that I know of, it was just a fashion thing and shock value thing.

C'mon, the "gender bending" bands like Motley Crue and Poison were legendary in how not gay they were. They don't belong in the category with Boy George and Bowie.

I find it slightly hilarious that they didn't air the MTV Music Awards on, I don't know, MTV? It died after Headbanger's Ball got canceled, along with the rise of Real World. Never forget, it was MTV that gave us the cancer that is reality TV.
