Is Damian Ramos really LSU’s best option at PK?

For a former walk-on he’s overachieved but he’s still a middling PK in today’s college football.

34-48 in Ramos’ career on FGs 30 yards or more. Really mediocre.

Wasn’t Aerron Burrell considered the No. 1 kicker recruit in the country?

Burrell has a big leg, but he would be less accurate than Ramos. That’s why he’s not ahead of Ramos.

Yes he's the best kicker by a mile. He might only have range from 50-54 yards but hes mire accurate. Burrell clearly has the stronger leg but his accuracy is supposedly pretty terrible on FG kicks. If I’m BK I tell my offense they have to get to the opposing 35 for Ramos to have a chance. The only way I see Burrell getting a chance is if Ramos gets hurt or if we have a 60 yard FG to win the game.

Seems so. I have little faith in him.

Teams like LSU should be recruiting a 5th year FCS assassin (one shot, one kill) every year to come in and do the work. There is no way a team with NIL cash should be worried about developing a kicker.

He will cost us at least 1 game this season. I’m sure of it

One of the less reliable kickers that have kicked this long at lsu.

He’s definitely not Josh Jasper, Cade York or Cole Tracy. We could have worse though.

Cade York and Josh Jasper were the best IMO.

15 of 16 inside 30 yards. That’s going to really help boost the overall percentage

What has he done wrong other missing one last night due to cramping?

We’re going to be depending on our place kicker more and more because our red zone running schemes are not working out very well so far this football season. Ramos can potentially win or lose many games this season.

He is the best we have on the roster right now. Burrell would be 25% outside of 20 yards but every kick would be out of the stadium.

I cringe when I see him come out to kick. Now matter the distance. Always have. We are use to having some pretty good kickers over the years.
