Stadium was about as quiet and nonchalant as I’ve ever seen last night.

When Tech was on offense it was about the same noise as when LSU had the ball.
Poor guy operating the LOUDER signs was fighting for his life.
Maybe the boomers were better fans?

The very first snap of the game for Tech you could hear a pin drop.

It was a terrible game against a terrible team where nothing exciting happened. It was mostly just 3 and outs and punts. It will be loud next weekend.

Both teams drained the play clock. Both offenses had to burn TOs.
It wasn’t a fun game thats forsure

I don’t care who it is, it’s the home opener, team should have played better for the fans. They are paid lots of money now, get off your asses players and execute what the fricking coaches call. Fans got screwed last night.

It was quiet outside the stadium as well. Not much chanting or heckling. It felt like we were playing our little brother and the crowd was very polite.

So they he fans just knew it was gonna be bad and sat on their asses from the start?
You people wouldn’t have lasted through the first quarter of a game in the mid 90s.

Scoring early and often would have helped tremendously

I didn’t waste my time driving to BR for the game, and I had a hard time giving tickets away.
Schedule shite teams, you get shite results on the field and in the stands.

Non-conference nobody game at 7 pm with the heat index still over 100. Some people would rather just watch from home.

It was a good size crowd. They just didn’t want to participate.

There are a multitude of factors that contribute to the college football attendance problem. It is across the nation not just an LSU problem.
The experience from your couch has gotten a lot better than it was 20-30 years ago. Couple that with the prices of tickets going through the roof and it makes more sense to alot of fans to watch the game on the 72 inch screen at your home.
Not to mention all the entertainment we have at our fingertips. 30 years ago it used to be a big event you looked foreword to being your weekly entertainment. Now you’ve got endless entertainment options at your fingertips whenever you want it.
Also the game day experience feels a lot more corporate and advertising centered now.
Basically it boils down to the in person experience has dropped while the experience from your couch has grown exponentially better.

I routinely left early (along with many others in my section) during the 2019 season. Needed to beat contra-flow.

We’ll see but it was a crap effort by the offense.

It was hot as hell and brutal. La Tech is not a threat to LSU The game was very cordial and everyone knew the outcome.
Wish TDez didn’t get hurt but win and move on

Sounds like you didn’t do enough to motivate those around you. Thanks for the effort.

I don’t know what the heat index was, but it was actually pretty comfortable in the stadium.
ETA: Don’t know what the guy saying “it was hot as hell” is talking about. That was one of the most tolerable home openers I can remember.

Patches work on that 3rd paragraph, sounds like a nervous speech in your first public speaking class.

I had an Excuse for being quiet. I was in a different seat as we brought my daughter and they were sitting in our season tickets seats. Up in 415 This mfer was all of my size with 1/5 the awareness. Big boy was sitting way off the back of the bench in my lap. And he was hammered. I almost asked if he wanted a back rub.
Fortunately we got called up to a suite midway through the 1st qtr.
