I don't agree with this in some aspects. I usually defend GG but he's wrong on this one.

I smell a conspiracy...Has anyone actually SEEN Guilbeau and Finebaum together at the same time?

Saying Guilbeau = Finebaum is misleading and inaccurate. Finebaum is a hack who whores himself for readers/listeners. GG is not. He just says things with brutal honesty that pisses off most Tiger fans.

Face it...Saban going to Bama was a pretty significant deal...nightmare even. Anyone who was a Tiger fan through some part of the 60's and 70's lived the pwnage.

And when it comes to X's and O's, Saban is a better coach. Period. Full stop. Yes, he's a flaming *sshole, but on the whole he beats Miles one-on-one in this area. But the schlong measuring contest ends there. I'll take Miles in a hearbeat any day over Saban. As the complete package - recruiter, CEO, moral compass of the program - the Hat beats Little Nicky's arse and it ain't even close.

God I hate Guilbleaux more and more with each passing day and every one sided, non-researched, inaccurate article he writes.

Bingo. If you reward a child for throwing tantrums, he'll keep throwing them. Guilbeau lacks the talent to attract positive attention, so he clamors for the only kind he can get. His schtick has never caught on in Louisiana like it did for Finebaum in Alabama, thank goodness. I stopped reading or listening to either of them a long time ago.

Saying "Period. Full stop." does not make it fact.
It's still just your opinion. Mine is that Miles out coached Saban in BOTH meetings. Period. Full stop.

no and thats what i cant stand about GG. he basis his articles off of opinon not facts.

not every LSU fan sits and dwells on what Alabama and Saban are doing like he does.

in his top 25 poll last year when OK St beat up on Mizzou, he ranks Mizzou like 10 spots ahead of Ok St the next day, when the whole country of sports reporters ranked Ok St higher.

so i call him out on it on his live chat. I say "why do you have Mizzou ranked ahead of Ok st? did you not watch the game?"

his response was "yes, but i still think mizzou is the better team"

thats the kind of writer he is. everything is based on his opinion, not facts.

dude should not have a job

Awesome quote from Guilbeau.

That's funny. I don't recall Guilblow calling and asking me what I thought about this, before he told SI what I thought about this.

Hmmm....

Ask ten experts on college football on who has a better technical grasp of the game. It won't be close. Period. Full...nevermind.

Don't lose sight of my point. Nick may be "smarter." Les is better.

I agree. Do you think that grasp is more like an iron grip that refuses to change and adapt, especially when it comes to in-game adjustments needed?

I don't think it's Shreveport. His company just publishes his crap in several papers, including the Shreveport Times.

"Saban going to Alabama was LSU's worst nightmare," Guilbeau said. "... It's always felt inferior to Alabama, and since Saban is at Alabama, LSU fans fear the old days could be coming back when Alabama and Bear dominated LSU. Deep down, LSU fans know Saban is a better coach than Miles and they just can't handle that."

For my first post i want to say this might be the most inaccurate article ive ever read.. who the hell is Guilbeau??? I for one surely dont feel inferior to BAMA, i could care less about the days "bear" was at Bama and surely dont think nicky is a better coach! Nicky has been outcoached each time he has played Les. With his supposed "championship team" he could barely aquander out a victory against a weak Tiger team. F*ck Guilbeau and SI. Posting some shite like that is what makes them lose credibility.

TigerWoody: I do. And I believe as many have posted on TD that we'd have blown many games that Les Miles won had Saban been our coach (Florida last year, most notably).

I think we agree. My point is that GG is not PF. Gilbeau puts it out there; Finebaum stirs the pot.

And I doubt GG had a tactical ploy to dis the Tigers on the eve of signing day. Mandell obviously contacted him as a source for his piece - probably several days ago - and what you see is what you get.

Last year's team wasn't weak. It quit after the Bama game.

And we threw the ball - THREW THE BALL DEEP - in overtime. Les won the battles in that game but Nick won the war.
