Ask ten experts on college football on who has a better technical grasp of the game. It won't be close. Period. Full...nevermind.

Ok, I just called my 10 "experts." Seven said Miles is better. Period....
Actually I don't need their opinions. I look at Nicky's record at LSU. Especially his last game.

I didn't , and I agree. I just never thought Nick was a special guru of X n O's.
Hell, Dinardo beat his arse.

Saban can coach the shite out of a defense (which is where I give him his X and O props), but his Achilles heel is his conservative, ball-control Offense. And the fact that he's a prick.

I am so happy Les Miles is our coach.

And I doubt GG had a tactical ploy to dis the Tigers on the eve of signing day. Mandell obviously contacted him as a source for his piece - probably several days ago - and what you see is what you get.
Garmisch, I also agree with this. GG has been relegated to glamorized blogger for smaller newspapers and will find himself looking for even lesser employment (hopefully) if he keeps this crap up. I think Mandel did himself a huge disservice by quoting the whiny bitch; maybe Mandel is on the hot seat with SI too. I used to read him up till about 2 years ago but he got so obvious with his attempts at fan flaming that I just quit reading.

As for Bama and their coach, I think they never will be a real rivalry for LSU. They will be good but not necessarily great with the exception of a random year when things fall into place (this past year). Nick is too formula driven and the rest of the SEC will know how to prepare for him. The talent level will keep them solidly competitive though.

Last year's team wasn't weak. It quit after the Bama game.

And we threw the ball - THREW THE BALL DEEP - in overtime. Les won the battles in that game but Nick won the war

Sorry but i disagree. Last year we had a Young inexperienced QB and a poor defense... i would say thats weak. they may have quit after the Bama game but the fact of the matter is they quit and lost. Nick hasnt wont he war... as long as he is at Bama and plays LSU it will always be war.

All I know is Miles is winning Championships at LSU and Saban hasn't won any at Bumma. In fact, his teams folded at the end of the year both years he's been in charge.

I will take Championships over some goober's article any day. Bumma and Saban are nothing until they can show they can win a championship. Nuff said.

: The war reference was not about the season, but about the Bama game. Nick won the war because Bama won the game.

I'll take Miles in a hearbeat any day over Saban. As the complete package - recruiter, CEO, moral compass of the program - the Hat beats Little Nicky's arse and it ain't even close.
Then Miles is a better coach than Nikky. Period. Full stop. End of story. No spin, interpretation or otherwise. Coaching does not begin at Kickoff and end at the final buzzer, so even if Saban was better at that part than Miles it is completely beside the point.

Coaching is a year long process, and Miles does it better than Saban.
