Why is LSU #1 with all these experts after week1, except poll voters?

Because these "experts" are fishing for clicks, and enough poll voters are less reactionary after week one to make massive moves in their positioning.

Objectively, LSU still has things to prove.

Who gives a frick? There are 11 games left on the schedule to figure all that out.

I’ve never seen an overreaction to a single game like I’ve seen this past week. The Tigers looked incredible but by God a trophy has never been awarded in September

Resume-wise, LSU has as little to prove as anyone... as objectively as I can be.

It's the NIL effect. Nobody knows anything and week 1 is so chaotic they jump at the first signs of competence.

We do have #1 votes in the AP and Coaches poll. LSU isn’t being shafted by the media or polls. Relax

Who cares?

Silly voter polls are irrelevant, and even more so after only one game.

Ignore them all and just watch the season play out. Then we'll all know.

Because LSU is not the number one team in the country. We’re definitely one of the best, given what we saw last weekend. That can always change, though, so enjoy the ride throughout the season and hope for the best.

One game is a flimsy resume, though. So the pollsters will wait until the Florida game or until OSU & Georgia stumble (not necessarily lose but simply look pedestrian against a team they should dominate) to boost LSU.

It is the way of the polls.

Tuesday, November 4, is when the first CFP poll comes out. All the other polls start in the preseason.

man, we don't want to be #1 right now. it would be rat poison to this team. we are in a great, great place right now.

Ohio State was no.3, they beat no. 1 - they're no. 1. the other teams were ranked ahead of us and won. it's all good, man. relax. this is nothing to bitch about.
