I would love to talk with someone that speaks English when I need support and really would like to see that brought back but how does he have the authority to tell companies where their call centers are located? Is that what all of H1B visa talk is about?

I don’t think this is about call centers.
It’s companies who have India IT companies overseas complete IT (I.e. programming work) instead of hiring American tech workers.
Fits with the America first agenda, and we need to cut this (and H1B) and incentivize and support STEM education to grow our own local labor force instead.
With H1B they come here.
These programs advertise to address worker shortages but they end up being used to cheapen labor costs at American worker expense instead.
Similar to this BS but specific to IT work.
