I don’t know if it’s been piste already but my God that dude is an absolute beast! Several plays where he throws the OL off and makes the play. I now see why there was so much hype in camp.

I was going to ask how he did. Unblockable in practice so glad to hear he had a good game.

I saw a tik tok of 5 plays he affected. He was so quick and powerful getting by and causing the play to be changed or rushed.

Rewatched game a couple of times and he stood out constantly. Motor never stops, very disruptive, and is big, strong, and fast. What a steal in the portal. He will definitely be in the NFL.

Here’s a clip of some plays showing how he affected the game.

Definitely gets up quick and plays with heavy hands. Not knocking the other guys on our line but holy hell Gooden looks fantastic.

Didn't Kyle specifically target him? Dude looks like Jon Randle or Laroi Glover out there

One of my favorite plays from the entire game was on Clemson’s first drive. On 2nd down they ran to the left and got stood up, Bernard Gooden wasn’t really part of the play as they ran away from him but when Randle got stood up Gooden came running across the field and Superman dove on top of the group of bodies to make sure Randle went down. He didn’t really effect the play but for a defensive lineman to show that kind of effort and energy was awesome to see.

Extremely quick and has the ability to use his hands and feet at the same time. I have seen too many players whose feet stop moving once they engage an offensive lineman with their hands. He plays like Kyle Williams did in the NFL.

Best get-off I have seen in a while. He is going to make noise all year!

He does. Totally different body types, but his motor and other things remind me of Kyle. Just a pain in the arse for offensive linemen to deal with.

Seeing how impressive our Dline was in general makes me more hopeful about our Oline. Getting pushed around in practice by this defensive group doesn't sound as disheartening as it did when we did not know what animals we had.

Thx for posting those videos. He's got an unbelievable first step/burst that gets him upfield and the OL moving like they don't want to creating disruption. It's going to be fun watching this DEF continue to get better with more reps & sets. The number of contributors at each level (DL, LB, DB) is truly impressive.

He looks really good to me.

Run stuffers are a dime a dozen in the NFL, but DT's that can cause disruption & get to the QB are the ones that get paid.

dude was already making a move on his guy and beating him before Guillory even touched his lineman

he also had a double team, avoided it, beat his other guy one on one before anyone else was disengaged.

impressive.

And continuing to practice against them is some real iron sharpening iron.
