Good morning baws and bawettes! We're almost halfway home to the weekend after just a day back at work.

What do you call a book club that's been stuck reading one book for years?

Church

Hope everyone here has a great day today!

Morning BnB, teech, Papa, Hangman, Sid and Wally.

On this day in history:

301
San Marino, one of the smallest nations in the world and the world's oldest republic still in existence, is founded by Saint Marinus.

1609
English navigator Henry Hudson, in a quest for a passage to India on behalf of the Dutch East India Company, sailed into the harbour of present-day New York City and up the river that now bears his name.

1777
The Stars and Stripes flies in battle for the first time. The American flag is said to have flown in battle for the first time, during a Revolutionary War skirmish at Cooch’s Bridge, Delaware. Patriot General William Maxwell ordered the stars and stripes banner raised as a detachment of his infantry and cavalry met an advance guard of British and Hessian troops. The rebels were defeated and forced to retreat to General George Washington’s main force near Brandywine Creek in Pennsylvania.

1783
The Treaty of Paris (part of the Peace of Paris) was signed between Britain and the United States.

1791

1894
Labor Day was celebrated as a legal holiday in the United States for the first time.

1928
Penicillin discovered by Sir Alexander Fleming. Sir Alexander Fleming was a young bacteriologist when an accidental discovery led to one of the great developments of modern medicine on September 3, 1928. Having left a plate of staphylococcus bacteria uncovered, Fleming noticed that a mold that had fallen on the culture had killed many of the bacteria. He identified the mold as penicillium notatum, similar to the kind found on bread.

1929
The Dow Jones Industrial Average peaks at 381.17 before beginning a decline that will lead to the famous stock market crash of 1929. It won't hit that level again until 1954.

1939
Britain and France declare war on Germany. In response to Hitler’s invasion of Poland, Britain and France, both allies of the overrun nation declare war on Germany.

1970
American professional gridiron football coach Vince Lombardi—who became a national symbol of single-minded determination to win, known for leading the Green Bay Packers to victories in the first two Super Bowls—died at age 57.

1971
Qatar officially became independent from the United Kingdom.

1976
Viking 2's Mars landing
After a nearly yearlong journey, NASA's robotic spacecraft Viking 2 landed on Mars this day in 1976 and began relaying information about the planet's atmosphere and soil as well as colour photographs of the rocky surface.

1995
Internet giant eBay is founded by Pierre Omidyar
The company owns ebay.com, an online marketplace and auction website.

Good Morning Humans
Time to rise and grind!

It’s gonna be a fine day to crank a few base model widgets and restock the shelves. If you make too many Grand XLT Models, you risk weakening their Price/Value relationship in the minds of the buyers.

Gotta keep that scarcity mindset and fear of missing out at just the right balance.

Make it a stupendous day!
