How can they raise the prices of funerals and blame it on the cost of living?

Funerals are for the living which costs more than it used to

The Satanic Church is actually lowering prices.

Probably because the living produce the coffins/caskets, the vaults, the wardrobe the deceased is wearing, flowers, etc. shite is high…

I'm not having a funeral so the entire funeral industry can kiss my dead arse

Your body will be donated to science?

I believe it’s actually called the “cost of dying”

Gravestones cheer the living dear, they're no use to the dead

My mom passed about 3 years ago, $5,500.00 for a casket that would be buried in a hole in the ground.
Fook these crooked MF’ers

Or a $500.00 pine box
There won't be a next time by the way (only one mom), we sent her to rest in the fancy casket.

Same here. I told the wife if I die before her, I want to be cremated, don't want any kind of formal funeral and don't particularly care if she even puts an obituary in the paper. The people that care about me will know I'm dead.
Wait until spring, buy a few sacks of crawfish, a keg of good beer and have a boil in my honor so people can eat seafood, drink cold beer and tell lies about how much they liked me-----at least until the food and beer runs out.

My wife's father and older brother went that route. LSU Medical kept his body for damn near 3 years before cremating his remains and sending them back to the family. His ashes are still sitting on the mantle of my brother-in-law's house in Hammond.
He brother died earlier this year and it probably will be about the same timeline before his remains are returned to his wife.
My wife has expressed a desire to do the same, but arrangements need to be made prior to death for that to happen and so far she hasn't done so.
