Clemson Bus Ride Entrance is foolish

If I was player Id be so annoyed thats how we have to enter. So you are telling me....at my own home stadium....I leave my own locker room and have to get onto a bus. Crammed like sardines, just to drive around the stadium and exit the bus 2 minutes later? How bout you just build us a locker room closer to the hill. All these years I had no idea they got off a bus to run down that stupid hill.

Just seems like an unnecessary risk of injury at the very least. In addition to the lameness of it all.

This entrance has been well known for a long time, no player who goes there is surprised, their ancestors knew about it too.

When LSU walks down the hill to Tiger Stadium, how do they get there?

The team's entrance is an embarrassment.
The mascot looks goofy, the tiny canon and the female mascot with 1/2 as a jersey number are all weird/lame. It almost feels like a joke.

If a college athlete can’t run down a hill without getting hurt then bigger problems exist. Everything is “I’m going to get hurt” these days. The trophy crowd loves those risks of injury debates.

they are in street clothes buddy. Not in full uniforms with shoulder pads. Packed on the bus and standing in the isles.

They are not in full uniform though.

Agreed. The craziest part to me is they promote and celebrate this. I would do my best to hide this dumb shite. But they trying to make it a tradition.
On the other hand, I guess if your other football traditions are being the 2nd best Death Valley and we all touch a rock, then maybe a bus ride is an improvement.

on a bus from clean across campus, not from around the corner

female mascot with 1/2 as a jersey number

Many sources have called it the best entrance in the game.
It is actually pretty cool.
I cant stand fans that mock anything any other school does.

Why would the players or the coaches not want to be at the stadium right before the game in order to get warmups and more prep time in on the field? They think it's better to make this spectacle of the team arriving on buses like it's a big rock band on tour.

In the 1940s when running down the hill started the locker room used to be a field house on that side of the stadium. In the early 1970s they built new locker rooms and the tradition was abandoned. There was a 3-4 year losing streak and the coach decided they needed something to bring back the good luck and pump up the team and fan base for the season finale against South Carolina. So they cranked up the buses, ran down the hill into the stadium and ended up winning on a last second FG. And that’s how it all started (back).

The slope they run down looks like injury waiting to happen. Bus ride looks very uncomfortable - especially for big guys

What isn’t a joke is their two mascots being unselfish and always sharing their meth.

A bus ride to the other end of stadium? Haha

It’s these completely manufactured and inorganic “traditions” around college football I hate. Waters it down.

Yeah, I don't quite understand how this is a talking point on multiple boards today.

Bc it was highlighted on the broadcast yesterday. Most fans knew about the rock and the ramp. But the bus to get there is less known.
