What are some of the things that surprised you from the first game?

First completion from a WR being at the last seconds of the first quarter. The WRs were as hyped as any group coming out of camp.

Also I expected Jujuan to have predictable wildcat packages but you can see he's gonna be involved in this offense in multiple ways. We have so many weapons on offense.

OL and DL play. Both were much better than expected.

I knew he was good but PJ Woodland being absolutely dominant was awesome to see. Also JuJuan is very clearly RB2 and had a helluva game even if the stat sheet didn’t reflect it.

Biggest surprise was winning!

In all honestly I was shocked at how well we ran the ball and how good our defense was. I have very high hopes for this season after last night’s performance by the real Tigers!

O line only giving up 1 sack.

How the receivers weren’t more involved.

I think this is typically how a BK team comes out. Kinda slow and then improves a good bit over the year. That excites me because we have an incredibly talented offensive room.

I was surprised that Hilton was not a bigger piece in this game.

OL held up reasonably well, although we can't afford to lose Tyree Adams. He might be the 2nd most important player on the team.

PJ Woodland

There were rumblings but like you, I didn't expect him to be this good. Where was Stamps?

The potential of the O to absolutely explode. You could see the potential to be great.

I really think BK had to see the OL before opening it up. Once he removes the cuffs, the O scored 27 points.

And that is with the beginning and end being conservative

I’ll say Sharp. He is going to be huge this year, and I didnt see that coming.

The the transfer corner and safety from Houston are really good. Better than I thought.
Sharp was used way more than I anticipated
Hilton wasn’t used at all it seemed. Kinda shocking.
Interior pass protection was better than I thought.
Don’t remember seeing Stamps

OLine was good

I knew our defense was going to be pretty good, but didn’t think we had a top 5 defense in the nation. We are stout in ALL facets of the defense which makes me happy.

Yep. Him and Garrett’s health are vital to this team. Could argue Durham and Whit/Perkins as well.

Every single other position on this team has a backup that I feel we wouldn’t miss a beat if they were injured.

Heard Kaleb Jackson improving in practice but didn't see him utilized in the running game.
