LSU Won 24-3. The blatant cheating by the SEC still has me irrationally angry....

IMO, our coaches made one terrible mistake, one BK has committed too many times, which was not taking the Fg before half. That extra 3 helps out while this horrible SEC Crew does what it does best.
Now to the obvious. You wait 9 months for the season to start. You have a great team going against another top 10 team on the road. Evenly matched game on paper, yet the only thing that kept the game close was this SEC officiating crew.
Keep in mind, this is the same crew that allowed Bama to cheap shot Jayden Daniels in 2023, almost killing his Heisman season. Same crew that earlier in that game allowed Bama to sling Daniels around by the horsecollar in wide open field after a long run. I could go on and on but I hate to admit that I remember this kind of shite.
Now to last night
Just off the top of my head of things they allowed outside of taking away a TD:
Two pretty obvious intentional grounding calls.
Many holding calls on situations where our LBs had a sack dead to rights.
At least 3-4 times we saw Clemson line up with 8-9 men on the LOS, then run a pass play where the "covered" WR/TE ran a route.
Clemson's only offensive TD came on a drive where they got away with two obvious holds, another illegal formation, then the obvious pick play. Picking up that flag was just brutal, especially when the WR literally dove at our guy to get it done. Even if you don't call a pick you call a blindside hit. You know, player safety and all that shite.
On the last drive of the game, did anyone notice that the run that got Clemson in the RZ the ball carrier appeared to go OOO after about three yards, come back in, then get an extra 12 yards? We rewound that play and watched it several times and it looked pretty clear.
There's a difference in officials making one or two bad calls to manufacture drama, which we see often, especially in the NFL. It is another thing to make nearly a dozen bad calls/no calls and completely sway the outcome of a game.
I don't think LSU was supposed to win this one, and they did anyway. Not just win, dominated. Had Clemson somehow scored to go to OT, no doubt more frickery would have taken place in OT.
LSU has the team capable of going a long way this year and they will only get better. Had this game been lost, I would not have blamed our coaches or team at all.

From Lafayette huh? Son of Goober looking frick.

Refs blatantly were doing everything in their powers to help Clemson win -sickening

This is not illegal. So long as the covered receiver doesn’t go downfield.
Officials are awful at their job though

Well, clearly the boys in Birmingham love him. So much so that if his crew makes a mistake and almost allows LSU to score an amazing TD (remember, the ref was going to mark that catch short of the goal line despite our guy going OOB a full three yards in the EZ), they buzz in and have the replay team of Gumps rig it instead.
This game had it all. Shades of many past fixings by the SEC.
Picking up a flag after an obvious call (Auburn 2006)
Ruling a clear replay something else (Bama many times)
And the other garbage
Just takes the fun out of watching the game when you know they are going to pull some bullshite after a great play to kill all momentum.

Now to last night's lesson on how to keep a game close: Just off the top of my head of things they allowed outside of taking away a TD: Two pretty obvious intentional grounding calls. Picking up that flag was just brutal, especially when the WR literally dove at our guy to get it done. Even if you don't call a pick you call a blindside hit. You know, player safety and all that shite. Oh wait, that's right, player safety means shite when you are fixing a game (see Daniels in 2023). On the last drive of the game, did anyone notice that the run that got Clemson in the RZ the ball carrier appeared to go OOO after about three yards, come back in, then get an extra 12 yards? We rewound that play and watched it several times and it looked pretty clear. No replay and Clemson hurried up and ran another play bc I think they knew they got away with another one. It is another thing to make nearly a dozen bad calls/no calls and completely sway the outcome of a game. I don't think LSU was supposed to win this one, and they did anyway. Not just win, dominated. This was a case where even blatant game fixing didn't stop it, but came damn close. Had Clemson somehow scored to go to OT, no doubt more frickery would have taken place in OT. LSU has the team capable of going a long way this year and they will only get better. Had this game been lost, I would not have blamed our coaches or team at all. Hopefully we don't run into this crooked crew too many times during the season.
Agree, most biased called game in a while. I’ll add to the holding no calls, they blatantly tackled our d line on multiple plays an nary a holding on them. Of course, the called one on us and the holding on punt returns twice, a very critical one in 4th quarter

Dumbasses who don’t understand the rules spouting off. Look, the refs sucked arse, but that “pick play” was completely legal.

They did at least three times. Twice they didn't.
There was one play it looked like the entire team as on the LOS and three guys went downfield.
The crew I watch the games with has two former SEC players in it. They know whats up.

Not calling the obvious grounding was a head scratcher to me….
Posted on 8/31/25 at 8:35 am to SludgeFactory
You need to add LSU first drive where Green was interfered with no call

It wasn't a head scratcher if you paid attention to all the other shite they were allowing. The fact that LSU dominated that game and overcame all of this is a great sign. This is a solid team in every aspect, and it will get better.
I've bashed BK a ton, but if he fixes one or two of his normal "dumb BK" moves like not taking points, for example, this team is going to be in the final four....
Unless we are stopped by an officiating crew like this one.

This one was criminal to me not even a replay

This was HUGE. It was blatant.

Definitely grounding. no one was near that ball and it didn’t reach the line of scrimmage.
Posted on 8/31/25 at 8:45 am to TheWalrus
Agreed. They even discussed it on the call about making sure to stay behind the LOS because of that reason.
But the missed holds that I saw on weeks as he was coming at the QB were there multiple times. And that touchdown BS. Refs were terrible. And funny Clemson is the one mad at them when the refs are the only reason they were within one score.

At the very least they were making sure no Clemson fan claimed they were playing favorites.

5 booth reviews last night. Clemson won them all.
