It is dying. I know so many people who religiously went to Vegas every year (some a few times/year) and they have all said that they will never step foot back in that place. They have taken their gambling talents to Biloxi and their partying talents to Nashville

Well that anecdotal tale certainly trumps the cold hard numbers in the OP

Does this account for simply casino revenue?

There's a lot of other stuff in Vegas tourists do.
Restaurants, shows, etc

The only Biloxi casino even close to anything in Vegas is Beau Rivage. The rest are average at best

Am I reading this correctly? Gamblers lost over a billion dollars in Vegas casinos just in one month?

Gamblers are really stupid.

Food and amenities are up ... Unless you have a travel history.

I was there two weeks ago.

I went 4 times last summer and twice this past spring. (concerts at Sphere)

people were stacked up to buy a 24oz domestic beer for 30 bucks.

LV isn't dying. Your friends are getting old.

The 5 casinos in Lake Charles/SWLA take in over $100 million per month

That includes estimates of what the Coushatta takes in because those numbers aren't public like the others

The housing market isn't doing so hot though

Their tourism might be booming but it's not a great place for the people that live there long term

you mean people that bought at the top of the market with 2% loans are having trouble selling with values being down and loans at 7%?

you're a god damn genius, p-man.

Is the housing market unique to LV? how are the housing markets in Austin, Louisiana, Florida, and Arizona?

old people don't travel as far and are typically on a budget.

Given an opportunity, I would go to Vegas right now.

I’ve been twice and had a great time both times. I don’t even really gamble.
