If you need it in 12 months or less then just stick it in a HYSA.
Good chance you'd get better returns in the market, but good enough chance you wouldn't and your time frame is pretty short.

Get a CD or US treasury bill/bond that suits your time frame

I can let it ride for a few years

IREN
RKLB
ASTS
AMPX
LTRX
Throw a dart (as long as it lands on NBIS)
I would put 4.5k on two of those and put 1k on HGRAF.
Use ChatGPT of equivalent and make your decision.
At worst, I think you'd be looking at 20k in two years.

Risk tolerance, objectives , time frame, existing portfolio allocation vs target allocation, tax bracket now and when you need $, do you have retirement accounts or HSA and if so are they fully funded for the year, are you already maxing any match? Without knowing these you are gonna get recommendations that arent optimal for your situation and some that are likely wildly inappropriate.
That said, my go to default investment is VTI or a similar low expense ratio index ETF assuming you dont need the $ short/mid term and willing to accept losses and/or ride it out for years waiting to recover.

VTI or VOO? I also see good things about VUG.

At worst you’re probably looking at $2,000 with that group, not $20k

Let’s revisit.
Give me 4.5k in NBIS and RKLB plus 1k in HGRAF as of today’s close.

I own some of the stocks you mentioned, I just think it’s incredibly short sighted to say that doubling your money is the “worst” scenario with any 2 of those 5. That’s not even remotely true.

I own NBIS and hope you’re right.

BOXX if you won’t need it for over 13 months

Don't spend an hour researching individual stocks and think you have sure bets. I would stick with an s&p500 etf. VOO is one, but there are several.
