Just watched it myself tonight for the first time, and was quite good. Definitely the best thing they've put out post endgame outside of No Way Home and Deadpool & Wolverine, and GoTG3 to me.

i was sad it lost money. it was a decent call back to fun Marvel. we only saw it because my son was about to head off to be a camp counselor and wanted to go out and watch something.

unfortunately so much of the last phase lost fans. i only saw Shang Chi and GotG3 in theaters since end game.

Both F4 and Thunderbolts were actually solid. Marvel just burned their bridges for the last 4 years.

This can't be said enough. TBolts and F4 should have been moderate hits, but weren't because Marvel fricked themselves with years of shitty offerings (Echo, anyone?). They are going to need some back-to-back massive breakthrough blockbusters to wash off that taint.

An admittedly shitty OP.

The movie is definitely in the vein of the Infinity Saga Marvel offerings in terms of story and humor. While Elena is clearly the central focus, they do a good job juggling everyone's roles. The acting was good, especially from Pugh, Stan and Harbour. The action set pieces were well done.

It is not a perfect movie by any stretch, but it is definitely towards the very top of the Phase 4 offerings from Marvel.

I watched it this weekend and enjoyed it.

Unlike in many recent Marvel movies, there seemed real jeopardy throughout much of the film.

Very good movie.

Everyone talks about the reasons why their movies are suffering at the box office (quality/DEI/continuity) but there is a massive elephant in the room that everyone seems to ignore: These movies wind up on Disney Plus way too soon. I get that some of your lower level releases you want to put them on there within 90-100 days of theater release but for your big budget movies, you need to wait at least 5-6 months from release before putting on Disney Plus.

Turn the movie off right when Elena walks into the void and I would consider it a masterpiece. They lost me when the resolution to the crisis was helping an emo kid work through his feels.

That was definitely the weakest part of the movie

The entire thing was stupid. Working for a cartoonishly idiotic villain, the continued parody of John Walker and the ending were all central retarded points of the movie. There were also retconned and nonsensical personal things with the characters. It’s a nonsensical mess.

Spoken like someone who either didn’t watch the movie or has the mental capacity of a 5 year old.

I’d argue that this is the worst “superhero” of all Marvel movies but is probably their best character work in a movie they’ve ever done. Really only GOTG2 is remotely close to it.

I liked it until it got touchy-feely and resorted to the “face your past to save the present” trope. Half of a really good superhero movie.

You’re right. The big purple man who snaps his fingers is far more realistic.
