Not good at adulation, not wanting to be to sappy, do want to be "congratulatory" ... Wrote the thing below...is it better just to say congrats and good luck simply and not do something like I wrote?
I know you can spot the snakes and the blueberries, learn karate and boxing, be a teammate, captain and solo champion, that you can hold up the ships mast, that you can play a tune and sing with a striking voice, that you can soothe the crazy animals, gently save lost bugs, that you can grind down hard and get it done, that you can take aim at targets on paper and in reality, that you can face the wild trail and seek recharge when needed, that you can stare down chaos and argue with near invincible wit, that you can build fires and put them down.
All these phases of you, milestones on a journey, taking you into a great beyond.
Fair winds and following seas, my son.

Holy run on sentence. Take a breath and punctuate.

It’s 2025….use a LLM to proof.
Or just go with the tale as old time…
“frick Bitches. Get Money.”

Just get ChatGPT to write it and move on.

How does one put down a fire? My only question.
Otherwise, this is great.
Otherwise, this is great.

This reads like a weird eulogy
“Congratulations, we’re so proud of you
- Mom and Dad”

In your own way remind him to have fun and pray too.

First, congrats to your son. I wish him success.
As to the post- and I really don't mean this rudely-I began half reading about a third of the way through. It bordered on nonsensical and I had to Google to see if this was a reference I was missing. Maybe that's just me, though. Ultimately, it's simply the words you want to express to your son. If you believe these are them, go for it. Otherwise, you may consider being more direct.

I did something less sappy. I took a cool photo of my son playing bass guitar at House of Blues in Dallas. I made a fake Rolling Stones magazine cover using this. They accepted it and included it in his yearbook for a tribute.

Sounds like you’re his promoter. Way overboard.

Damn, did your kid cure cancer or win the Nobel prize?
