I wish I had a time machine so I could experience peak Americana.

I thought peak America was Spring Break 1988.

I know this board loves to shite on the UK, but honest to god, in the UK, with the exception of the outfit, many groceries are like this.

We had a piggly wiggly in our town. The cashiers didnt look like that. Granted it was the seventies so maybe cigarettes and booze took its toll.

Hm, just a few years later I was a little kid and I don't remember any cashier anywhere having a uniform. Must have not lasted long

I would walk to the store in ‘62, buy a loaf of bread and gallon of milk then head home with change in my pocket. Turned 13 that year.

Imagine living in a time where that lineup of women was the norm.
What a time to be alive.
Beautiful, thin, feminine women.
A booming economy.
Classic cars.
Affordable homes.

Hard to believe it was ever real.

Piggly Wiggly was the tits. My hometown Pigs is now called something else, but cute females still work the registers.

An 18 year old was giving me the eyes the other day even after she carded me and saw I was old enough to be her dad. It’s rough being this handsome, but I get by.

Yeah and the next Democrat president signed the Hart-Cellar act and the Civil Rights Act, so now we have a country so effed up that people elected Trump in their anger at how it’s fallen apart.
