No doubt he is just preping himself for when the Catholic job opens up years from now. They might as well just name him successor now.

So who ya think Sid's got in mind to replace Weiner. If this has been a done deal for a while, you gotta believe Sid is already on top of the search...............

ETA: I wonder if Weiner takes some coaches with him?

this is a great hire by zachary. Neil was my coach and one of my coaching mentors. He will do a great job at zachary. There will be some high expectations but he will do fine, and with those facilities zachary can be a program like west monroe, sulphur, ect. Also the people in zachary should be excited to see a fun offense and a few trick plays every now and then

as for central sid can always find people to work for him. he should not have a problem at all replacing neil

I watched the Zachary/Central game this past season and Weiners offense was money. I don't know if he'll have the personel to run that system just yet at Zachary. Howells offense was about as bland and boring as they come.

A few years back, West Monroe's Don Shows offered Sid Edwards a coaching position at West Monroe. He would be an assistant on the football team and take over as the basketball coach. He almost took the job.

Come up north Sid, Shows is looking for an offensive coordinator. Shows is gonna step down in a few years and the West Monroe football head coaching job could be all yours.

I am surprised Sid did not lose more coaches. How much will it cost Zachary to keep Wiener there when Catholic comes a calling????

I doubt if catholic can pay zachary or central type money. Just the base teacher salary is so much higher at those schools, plus zachary has great facilities. Thats the coaching profession, sid will lose a couple each year to better jobs but will find more good coaches for the next season. Zachary will be much improved on offense, but central should know what to expect since they will be running the same Offense
