What should have been a triumphant night with Yordan returning and Diesel on the mound turned into a night of horrors losing to the lowly Rockies. We remain where we have been for weeks—-at least the Mariners lost.

Second time in a row coming off an off day after a series win with positive momentum they just lay an egg.
Won a nice series against Boston after a good road trip, get the off day, almost get perfect game'd
Took 3 of 4 to salvage a road trip, get the off day, get Hunter on the mound and the big man back, and just scratch across one run. It's probably one of those "baseball things" but shite it's frustrating.

It seems increasingly likely that the Astros and Mariners will occupy the 3 and 6 seeds, rendering the division race mostly useless and showing how idiotic this playoff format is. I hate it. Certainly no guarantee, but as of now it's the most likely scenario.
Secondly, if that happens, do we even want the games in Houston?
I find it difficult to get excited about winning the division knowing as soon as I see the bracket I'll think "aw frick"

Yordan is probably sitting tomorrow and they might want to avoid Tuve doing a day night so probably just splitting up their off days
