Largest "Planned Parenthood" location in the U.S. is closing.

The Houston facility - one of, if not the largest abortion facility in the world, but certainly the country - will close its doors September 30.
This week, the Texas House also passed a bill (HB7) out of committee to allow families to sue chemical abortion pill vendors for $100,000.
Surprisingly, Christianity Today almost seemed to celebrate the news of the Planned Parenthood location's closure:
When Planned Parenthood Prevention Park opened in Houston in May 2010, more than a dozen protesters demonstrated outside the 78,000-square-foot edifice, picketing, singing, and even weeping. This location gained widespread attention in 2015 when the Center for Medical Progress published clandestine videos from the clinic.
Many of the city's pro-life organizations sprouted within a 15-mile radius of Prevention Park. Demand for their services has been on the rise since the Texas abortion ban took effect in 2022, and pro-life expect the trend to accelerate.
The closure ‘still feels a bit surreal,' said Mary Whitehurst, CEO of The Source, a pro-life, ‘Christ-centered' women's health care clinic. Rivaling Planned Parenthood always felt ‘a bit like David and Goliath,' she said.
But by offering medical care beyond pregnancy tests and counseling — including well-woman exams and contraception — The Source hopes to fill in the gaps left by Planned Parenthood shutdowns.
The reason this reporting from Christianity Today seems surprising is because the paper has spent the last 10 years fighting against the politicians and policies that actually changed the law in America.

And the worshipers of Moloch will mourn and wail... Where oh where will the sacrifices come from...

Just think, if they were more concerned about womens' health than performing abortions they would still be getting funded.

Wonder how many babies were killed over the years.

I’m confused? Are women having less abortions now? You’d think in states where it’s still legal business would have gone up due to women from out of state driving to get their babies killed?
How were they staying afloat before?

Can someone explain this logic to me? If you voluntarily sought out the medicine for that purpose how could you then sue them?

Some people have reportedly ended up dying from the pills.

They could, but you still wouldn’t understand it. You don’t comprehend written communication very well and while this board has many people knowledgeable and experienced in various fields and subjects, we can’t help you with that, here.
Maybe try your local elementary school and ask if they have any resources or tutors who may be of help to you.

The pills really shouldn't be direct to consumer... they aren't as risk free as they like to pretend.
If such pills are going to be used, it needs to happen under the care of a provider that can stage the pregnancy, ensure no contraindications, check later to make sure nothing was retained, etc...

At some level you have to hand it to the leftists for their clever branding. "Planned Parenthood" is where you go when you are poor and didn't plan on being a parent.

The disconnect with reality that ANYONE who is Pro-Choice has to go through to terminate the life of a baby is just beyond me. I Have no idea how you can have that little concern for a human life. It's murder. Plain and simple. I can maybe make myself understand the first week, even if I disagree. But once it starts looking vaguely human from a physical perspective (it's ALWAYS human, mind you). But I get people needing a fetus to have arms and legs and a head. I can see that. After that - it's just cruelty and sacrifice for vague concepts of "choice" and "power over others."

I guess the parenting side of planned Parenthood doesn't generate the same revenue as the don't want to be parent side.

More than the total number of deaths in the Civil War, WWs I and II, Korea and Viet Nam COMBINED.

Planned Parenthood is such a misnomer anyway.
When PP does what it does, women don't become parents.
