Best Robot Vacuum on the market with reasonably good price?

Looking to take the plunge
Lowes has some good deals right now, but I’m not sure what the reliable brands are for robotic vacuums
It doesn’t have to mop. I’m fine with just vacuuming

I've had a Roborock Q Revo for a year or two. Runs everyday, been pretty pleased with it. I don't use the mop feature though so can't report on that.

my experience:
"costco version" shark robot w/ home base - meh, it did ok but terrible job of mapping the house and would get stuck in the most random places. i actually had 2; one upstairs and one down. ended up taking both back to costco
roomba 405(?) - bought on amazon prime day for 1/2 price; the floor rugs would cause the mop heads to pop off seemingly every other day and i would come in to find it sitting there, dead. also it was unable to properly empty the dust/dog hair (and my wife is a clean FREAK) so it would run around the house pretending to vacuum but picking up nothing due to a clog that i would have to 'finger' out because the vac had no removable bin. also the app is shite and if it started up while i was in a meeting i would have to hit 'pause' or 'cancel' and wait wait wait wait wait...the app is crap and it lost the house mapping twice after i had named every zone, had it set to do certain cleanings,..also the profile was too high and it mapped our king bed as a 'no go' zone even though there is plenty of room to get under it. this means the dog furballs will just grow and grow under the bed until we blow them out. after a month of disappointment i returned it to amazon.
roborock Q8
SUPER fast mapping, one clog in 2 weeks i had to clear (running twice a day) and it TOLD ME it was clogged..it fits under the master bed, it got hung up under the nightstand on one side of the room twice and then it created a 'no go' zone automatically so it hasn't happened since, the mop feature is super easy, just pop the bin out and fill it up, INCREDIBLE sucking power...so far its a 9.5/10.
so thats my experience...ROBOROCK is so much better than everything i've used to this point its in a different class.
ETA i have 2 schedules i run daily; 10am it vacuums the whole house on TURBO mode, then at 3pm it vacuums and mops just the laundry room, hallway & kitchen/dining room. makes my wife SUPER happy when she comes home and the floors are sparkling.
i would say every other vac prior to roborock is a 'toy'. the roborock is the first one that makes a serious argument that it can handle the floors.
eta only 'negative' is the roborock kept grabbing my wife's iphone charger and yanking it out of the wall (becuase she lets the cord flop onto the floor every day) and i would forget and then glance over randomly and it would be cruising by with a white iphone 'wall adapter' tail dragging behind
didnt stop it though, it just kept doing its thing. (wife has now moved the charger to a new location that doesn't end up on the floor.)

Roborock's better offerings are across the board pretty good. We've had a couple.
- Our next one will have the downward pressure mopping as opposed to just the spinning. I assume Roborock has that now, I know Narwal and others do. Our spinning mops are fine for what they are - which is sort of a "clean in the aggregate" thing. It's not going to clean up a real mess on one pass, but it'll clean up normal life stuff (drops of something here and there) over the course of a night or two.
- I forget which we have, Q revo something, but it's reliable and works well. It still gets jammed once a week, but that's easily avoidable if you do a sweep every night. My little kids leave little socks and cords and little toy pieces all over the place, so if you're not dealing with that I doubt you'd have issues. We only use it in the kitchen and foyer FWIW.

Purchased this one based on suggestions on this board (from an identical thread). Have been very pleased through 3+ weeks of use. Easy to set up. Handles dog hair very well. If you don't need the mop then I wouldn't hesitate to strongly consider this one.

I've had a Shark for years now and usually run it every weekday (while the wife and I are out). I like it, but as CAD said, there can be issues.
It can get stick on/under things from time to time. We just replace the floor mat in our guest bathroom and it seems to do okay on it, but before then it would routinely get stuck on it because the vacuum was just strong enough to pull up a corner (so I had to close the door when it ran).
Every once in a while it will stop for seemingly no reason. It may announce it when it happens, but since no one is there at the time...
Either the battery or the charging plates (on it, the base or both) may be having troubles as there are times I've had to let it charge for a couple of days just to get it charged back up (if it got stuck long enough to run out of power).
I'm not quite at the point of switching yet, but it's nice to see the reviews thus far have had a strong consensus.

Have had a Neato for years but I just saw they are discontinued now. At the time I liked it best be it mapped out the rooms and didn’t bounce around randomly. Whatever I get next, I’d want this function.

I had a Neato before I went the roborock route. Roborock runs circles around my old neato.

I've read that Roborocks won't let you connect to wifi if your password contains a special character such as &,$,!.
The first post I saw on this was years old, so I thought that surely they would fix it by now. Apparently not. Folks still have issues. (And you must connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network rather than 5.0, so make sure you have that set up.)
Suggestion: To connect your Roborock vacuum when the Wi-Fi password contains a special character, you must temporarily change your Wi-Fi password to exclude special characters and then change it back after the robot is connected.

I got a bObsweep Orb-i for on sale from Walmart last year for like $150. This thing is a tank and works way better than I thought it would. It also integrated seamlessly into Home Assistant with Tuya Local

i just did it a couple weeks ago and my pwd has all kinds of special characters including both a $ and &. AMA

Maybe yours works on 5.0 and with characters, but it is an issue for some people.
If you go to the product on Amazon and search the "Looking for specific information" for "password" it tells you:
"The Roborock Q5 Max+ robot vacuum only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi and it is suggested to not include any special characters in your WiFi password."
