Who here supports sending federal troops to major cities to combat crime?

National Guard under Tutle 10 orders are federal troops.
So unless governors of democrat controlled states suddenly start aligning with Trump on this issue the only way to get troops into cities like Chicago or Baltimore would be for the president to federally mobilize them and send them in.

Nope Nope Nope
If you support, think about what it will be like in 12 years when the Dems have the Presidency back and they are sending jack booted thugs to your door to carry away any white nationalist terrorists.

However it needs to work..even if cities pay...but i have ZERO problems with there being national guard troop in places like new Orleans during mardis gras.

No. The “citizens” of shite hole cities get what they vote for. If they wanted it fixed, they would vote the Dems out!
them!

Agreed. Hopefully what happens in DC is a success and voters around the country demand the same results from their local and state politicians.

Since Police Departments and city governments are clearly unable to properly police themselves, yes I support it.

So since they will do whatever they want in 12 years, let them do whatever they want now?

Do not support.
I support it in DC because it's a federal district.

Hello yes, but put bullets in the weapons.
Don't leave them defenseless against those animals.

The cities have been bad for so long I think people have become apathetic to it or conditioned to think nothing can really be done about the crime.
If done right, Trump could win over a lot of people once they see it can be fixed. Some younger adults have never known what it was like to live in safe neighborhoods

I do. There are a couple of generations of Americans who have no idea what a truly orderly society even looks like.
Posted on 8/25/25 at 11:55 am to HeadCall
Doesn't bother me. I live in a safe neighborhood, and I don't break the law.
If they come to my city, I doubt I will see much of them.

While I don’t disagree, the democrats will eventually do this whether Trump does or not.

Nope. DC is one thing. Cities inside state governments are totally different.
I for one did not like it when NG troops were disarming innocent people in NOLA after Katrina.
To quote Bruce Willis "using the military as a policing force is like using a broadsword when what you really need is a scalpel."

One should be able to suspect that if liberal policies were the recipe for success, then at least one of the top 50 US cities by population would have cracked the code, with residents being able to enjoy the utopian promise that the Democrat party has dangled since LBJ.
After all, 39 of the 50 largest cities in the nation are run by Democrats:

The data is based on the 2022 population estimates for the top 50 U.S. cities and the most recent mayoral information available as of August 2025.
Some affiliations reflect updates from recent elections (e.g., San Antonio’s Gina Ortiz Jones, a Democrat, succeeded Ron Nirenberg, who announced a Democratic affiliation in 2024 but was previously Independent).
Mayoral affiliations can change due to elections, resignations, or switches in party alignment, so this list is accurate to the best of my knowledge based on available data.

I've changed my stance on this.
Give the people what they want. If they vote for mayors that openly tell them they are going to destroy the cities they run, then you get what you voted for. Enjoy your crime and soon to be third world status.

I do.
You would also be hard pressed to find individuals that reside in particular areas of cities burdened by excess crime and murder to oppose it.
The only people seemingly opposing it are the elected in charge that have exponentially failed their constituents year in and year out.
Who the frick in the history of ever has opposed less crime and killing?
Let's start there without deflecting off point.

I agree with this.
I think of all the poop jokes or druggie jokes or homeless jokes in different parts of the country- people joke about this crap with a "well, whaddya gonna do about it anyway" kind of attitude. It IS conditioning and it sucks.
