Bring back Tulane. Play them at the end of the season.

Solves the problem of not having an SEC rivalry game that weekend.
Reignites a 100 year rivalry and gives us a W most years.
I hate them as much as the next guy, but at least they have been competitive lately.

Tulane is in that awkward spot of being good enough to beat us every 8-10 years, but bad enough that it's not a quality win to beat them. It's Lose/Lose.

If they move it to the dome, sure. I’m not sure if LSU will want to play at Yulman.

Not going to lie, it’s crossed my mind.
Positives and negatives.
But Georgia has done just fine with playing tech.
Tech has only won 7 games since 1990.

Nine SEC games + a P4 game + Toolame = only one & a half rent a wins per year...I like it!

You mean if they want to come here and play, we already have too many neutral site games, we dont need another.
And we should not travel to play a mid-major ever.

there is maybe 1 year in the last 20 they would have beat us and i’m not giving them 2022 as a sure thing just because they beat an overrated USC

If I’m not mistaken, is that why the series ended?
We have made it a point to play Louisiana schools annually, adding Tulane back to the mix only seems right.

That is the only solution to us not getting stuck with OU.
Give us Tulane & give them OK State

We won’t do a home and home with them
Maybe we are the 5 seed this year and they are the 12. That would be fun

I agree here, not playing Tulane since like 2009 is nuts, but we have to treat them like any other LA school and they come here to play...maybe ever 4th or 5th year play in the dome but that's it. We're not playing a whole series in the dome or alternating there every year.

I agree. Bring em back! Tulane coach was even publicly lobbying for it last week. Look at Tulanes schedule. They travel to Ole Miss this year. You know they'd rather come right down the road.

Tulame is way more competitive now than they were from 1990-2014 don't kid yourself. I'd rather play them instead of Akron.

If their administration weren't such a bunch of money worshiping aholes and their fans weren't such insufferable bitches I wouldn't mind seeing them back on the schedule.

they were 9-5 last year.
they literally have had 1 good year since 1998
I want to play them just to remind them who they are every year

I wouldn't call The Dome a neutral site game when referring to Tulane. It's still basically a home game for LSU with Tulane taking most of the pot, which is why the rivalry ended.

Makes zero sense in today's world.
See, there's the flaw in the theory... Georgia Tech and OK State are P4. As are Clemson, Florida State, and Louisville, the other rivalry games SEC teams play.
We're now required to play at least one OOC game vs a P4, in addition to getting the extra conference game. That leaves 2 games to schedule, and you don't need to add a G5 team capable of beating maybe half the P4 teams. That applies to Liberty, James Madison, anyone else with a pulse in the G5. And btw absolutely don't play Washington State or Oregon State either.
We're trying to build a playoff program, we need to focus on a playoff schedule. Get to 10 wins, go from there.
If Tulane wants us, they need to find a way to move up, and/or get into the playoffs and find us there.
