Where does the climate begin to shift when heading north from the gulf?

We are debating this in the family. Some believe the climate in Southern Arkansas is more mild/less hot and humid than that of Montgomery County Texas or Vernon Parish.
Some believe the climate is marginally different and it’s not enough to notice or make a difference to justify living there citing the milder climate as an excuse.
What say the OT?

150-200 miles north of the gulf coast will start to see humidity levels drop. That’s the line where climate starts to change.
You’re welcome!

Probably about Tennessee. Both Kentucky and Tennessee sit on that line of can be humid as frick in the summer but typically (this year is an exception) isn't nearly as humid as say Mississippi.

So if you say the same for Arkansas, you don’t start to see climate shift until you hit Little Rock area? Draw a line from Memphis across the state and anything there and up is milder?

I used to drive Ohio to Florida every two weeks in winter. About Montgomery, Alabama was where it went from black and white to color. Evergreen replaced brown suddenly

That would follow the 200 mile rule

It was 102 yesterday in Memphis and about 70% humidity.
Front moved in last night. Only got up to 94 today.

Don’t know, but there is a noticeable difference between Birmingham and the gulf coast.

Thats actually pretty common during the summer.
The offshore weather moderates the temps slightly.
Its slightly cooler but with higher humidity in the summer at the coast, but often significantly warmer during the winter.

That's a good location, also where the elevation starts increasing

I feel like the humidity can get trapped in the foothills/valleys in Birmingham
